Thanking God And Helping The Less Fortunate.
Students gathering before Mass

Grade Six students packed St Mary’s Cathedral on Friday December 9 for the Annual Thanksgiving Mass. 

Catholic schools and Colleges from Geeveston to New Norfolk were represented by their senior students who prayed, read, sang, served, danced and filled very possible vantage point in the historic building.

Hampers of goods from every school were brought forward to present to St Vincent de Paul Society. 

Archbishop Adrian Doyle con-celebrated with eight priests, Fathers Peter O’Loughlin, Brian Diamond, Aiden Kay, Dudley Perera, Lawrie Moate, Greg Barker, Terry Rush and Mike Delaney, assisted by seminarian, Shammi Perera, and Cathedral Administrator, Fr Brian Nichols.

The Archbishop spoke about the times of transition we all experience, acknowledging the students’ transition to secondary education along with his own transition to his coming retirement
