Tassie Men Encouraged to Step Up

Centacare men's and relationship counsellor David Nancarrow is encouraging men to spend more time with their children.

Tasmanian dads need to "step up to the plate" and take a more active role in their children's lives, said David in a recent interview with Hannah Martin from The Sunday Tasmanian.

"Time plus play equals relationship. That's how you become a dad," he said. "You've got to give a good chunk of your time to your children."

David has helped many Tasmanian men cope with the transition to fatherhood and recently wrote a book to help new dads come to grips with the demands of the role.
