Tasmania to host six venues for Australian Catholic Men’s Gathering

Six venues across Tasmania will host groups taking part in the upcoming Australian Catholic Men’s Gathering organised by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference.

Themed ‘Brothers, what must we do?’, the one-day program – to be held on Saturday, August 15 – will include a variety of speakers, presenters and music all presented online and screened at the various venues, as well as time for follow-up group discussions.

The online program aims to reinforce the importance of men’s involvement in the faith environment of the Church.
Mark Murphy, who organises a monthly men’s breakfast in the West Tamar Parish, is taking registrations for those gathering in Launceston.

He said the conference would be a time for contemplation and self-searching.

“It promises to be an enlightening day that offers fellowship, companionship and education – I encourage all Catholic men to attend,” Mr Murphy said.

Participants are asked to register with the contact person of their local venue.
