Isolated no more: young adults to Zoom in from around Tasmania
Tomasz Juszczak will be running two new online young adults groups.

The Archdiocese of Hobart’s Office of Youth Evangelisation has recently created two online groups so young people can maintain social and faith connections.

The two groups, intend to meet-up virtually using the Zoom app - an online video conference platform.

The Director of the Office of Youth Evangelisation, Tomasz Juszczak, said he wanted to provide a space where young people could still connect and be ministered during this time.

The first group ‘Illuminate’ is a half-hour lunchtime group which will look at the Gospel for the upcoming Sunday to help young people maintain some connection to the Sunday Mass.

The second group ‘The Meet-Up’ is scheduled for Friday evenings at 7pm and will involve a talk from a national guest speaker who will cover a particular topic followed by a group discussion and question and answer session.

Mr Juszczak said the meetings will cover a wide variety of topics and have been chosen based on feedback given to him from young people.

“It is an opportunity to go out and minister to where the young people are at right now,” Mr Juszczak said.

“It gets rid of any geographical constraints so that young people from all around Tasmania can come together to pray, be formed, discuss and connect all from the comfort of their homes.”

Illuminate begins on Wednesday May 6 and will run from 12-12.30pm.

The Meet Up begins on Friday May 8 and will run from 7-8.30pm.

If you have any questions or are interested in joining either or both groups, please contact youth@aohtas.org.au or 0400 045 368.
