GYC Passes Registration Test

Guilford Young College has had its registration extended to the end of 2017 after receiving an outstanding report card from the Schools Registration Board.

Principal Bobby Court said the report from the Board’s Review Panel was particularly affirming because it contained not even a single recommendation for improvement.

“This is an unusual affirmation because most registration reports find something that needs doing,” Mrs Court said.

“It is a well-deserved accolade for the College, in particular for our great staff and teachers who provide such an excellent education for our students.”

The approval for a full four-year extension of GYC’s registration noted:

“The Review Panel was very impressed with all aspects of Guilford Young College.

“It congratulates the Principal and her Board on their vision for and leadership of the College and commends the efforts of outstanding professional executive management team members.

“There is clear commitment to the College from staff and teachers; Review Panel members observed that staff and students encountered on the tours of both campuses were clearly pleased to be there.

“The College provides excellent academic and social development opportunities for all students.”
