Volunteers with Centacare’s Humanitarian Settlement Services recently enjoyed a welcome breakfast of pancakes as they formed a new group. The volunteers came together in Centacare’s  courtyard at Tower Road in New Town recently to share a breakfast prepared by volunteer coordinator Akia Chabot. 

Over this simple but yummy repast, the members of this new group got to know one another before discussing the upcoming project of settling a soon-to-arrive Congolese family in Hobart.

Centacare's Humanitarian Settlement Strategy is supported by nearly 100 volunteers who give their time to assist newly arrived entrants in settling into their new homes in Tasmania.
